How Koolbase uses cookies and similar technologies across our platform and marketing site.

Summary: We use only the cookies the dashboard needs to sign you in and keep your account secure. No analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, so there is nothing to opt out of. If you arrive from a campaign link, our website asks before remembering which campaign brought you.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website or application when you visit. They allow the site to recognize your device on subsequent visits and remember certain information about your session or preferences.
Koolbase uses two types of cookies by duration:
Session Cookies
Temporary — deleted automatically when you close your browser. Used for things like keeping you signed in during a single visit.
Persistent Cookies
Remain on your device until they expire or you delete them. Used for keeping you signed in across visits.
In addition to cookies, we may use similar technologies such as local storage and session storage for certain dashboard functionality, and our website uses local storage to remember, with your permission, which campaign link brought you (see section 3).
2. Types of Cookies We Use
We use strictly necessary cookies only: the ones the dashboard needs to sign you in and keep your account secure.
We don't use analytics, advertising, social media or tracking cookies, and our sites don't load third-party scripts that set them.
3. Cookie Declaration
These are all the cookies Koolbase sets. The dashboard (app.koolbase.com) sets them; our website (koolbase.com) and documentation (docs.koolbase.com) set none.

All three are HttpOnly and Secure: scripts on the page can't read them, and they are only sent over HTTPS. The session cookie may be split into numbered parts (.0, .1) when it is large.
Local storage on koolbase.com
Our website sets no cookies. If you arrive from a campaign link, it asks before keeping one entry in your browser's local storage:
kb_attribution
Holds the campaign tags on the link (such as utm_source and utm_campaign), any ad click ID (gclid from Google, fbclid from Meta), a referral code, the page you landed on, and when. When you click through to sign up, these are added to the link to app.koolbase.com so we can tell which campaigns bring people to Koolbase. It is only written if you choose Accept, and expires after 30 days. If you choose Decline, nothing is stored or passed on. Your answer is kept in local storage too (kb_attribution_consent), so we do not ask again. Our website loads no third-party scripts, so nothing else on the page reads it.
4. Third-Party Cookies
Koolbase's own pages don't load third-party cookies. If you subscribe to a paid plan, checkout and the billing portal are hosted by Stripe on its own domain, where Stripe may set cookies for payments and fraud prevention. Those cookies are covered by Stripe's cookie policy.
5. Managing Cookies
Because Koolbase uses only strictly necessary cookies, there is no cookie banner. The one thing we ask about is campaign attribution, and only when you arrive from a campaign link. You can view and delete cookies in your browser's settings at any time; deleting the dashboard's cookies signs you out. To remove the campaign record or change your answer, clear the site data for koolbase.com in your browser.
If we ever add optional cookies, such as analytics, we'll update this policy and ask for your consent before setting them.
6. Updates to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies we use, new legal requirements, or improvements to our platform. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you via email or dashboard notice.
We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the Services after any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
